Robert W. (Bob) Miller

Bob Miller died on March 23, 2026. Prior to attending Yale, Bob learned to play the piano, saxophone, and bassoon. He played his original bassoon for nearly 75 years. Following Yale, Bob obtained a master’s in chemical engineering at the University of Delaware and had a career in plastics research for Monsanto Corporation, Diamond Shamrock Corporation, ARCO, and FINA dealing with customers around the country with occasional travel to Europe and Japan. He retired in 2000 and spent his final 10 years at the Glebe, a retirement community in the Roanoke, Virginia, area.
