Richard Paul Goldman
He was an educational administrator and a Trustee Wilbraham and Monson Academy and a member of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
He was born on March 31, 1935 in New York City, the son of Edward and Dorothy (Myer) Goldman, graduated from Yale with a Bachelor magna cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He received a Master of Arts from Middlebury College in 1965.
Dick was a teacher and administrator of Wilbraham Academy in Massachusetts, 1959-1972; the assistant headmaster of the Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia, 1972-1992; the interim headmaster, 1992-1993; the associate headmaster from 1993. He had been a consultant the Franklin Group, 1985-1992, and was listed as a noteworthy Educational administrator by Marquis Who’s Who. He authored a book, Profession at Risk: Eight Schools Face the Faculty Compensation Issue.
Dick was also a Trustee of Wilbraham and Monson Academy and a member of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
He married Claire Elaine Taylor on August 16, 1975 and had two stepchildren: Lisa Backe, Nina Backe.
