Peter H. Tveskov

A native of Copenhagen, Denmark, Peter H. Tveskov died on January 9, 2025. Following Yale he spent 10 years in the oil fields of west Texas, Venezuela, and Brazil before returning to Yale as its physical plant manager and later in a similar role at Wesleyan University, Middletown, Connecticut. Sometime later, Peter became a consultant in facilities operations which resulted in assignments at Brown University, Connecticut College, Milton Academy, and many other academic institutions. After retiring in 1997, Peter continued some consulting in capital project management as well as serving as a group leader for Elderhostel-Scandinavian Seminar, guiding groups of senior citizens on tours of three Scandinavian countries. He found time to publish a memoir of his childhood in Denmark during the German occupation in World War II entitled Conquered Not Defeated. His wife Judith survives.
