George S. Weaver

George S. Weaver, a member of our class who withdrew in February 1953, died on June 22, 2026. Following his brief time at Yale he attended the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at the University of Massachusetts during which time he married his hometown sweetheart Shirley who survives. George was a life-long resident of West Virginia and active in many political and community organizations. After beginning his career on his family farm, he changed careers by moving into investments and wealth management ultimately becoming president and CEO of Hazlett, Burt & Watson, Inc., Wheeling, West Virginia.
