William C. ‘Bill’ Scott, III
William C. (Bill) Scott, III died on July 7, 2024. He joined our class after graduating from Phillips Andover Academy; however, he transferred to William and Mary University because it was a co-ed institution. Following William and Mary he and a college friend started an energy commodity trading company located in Toronto, Canada. Following a downturn in the oil and gas industry he moved to New York City taking a position with Booz Allen Hamilton as a Vice President. Following that employment, Bill held other senior management positions with Cordura Corporation, Western Pacific Industries, and Panavision. He had a passion for classical music, serving as President of Opera Orchestra of New York and the Metropolitan Opera Club. He also served on several other boards with a focus on the arts and education.
